Maintaining positive relationships with demanding auto industry customers requires a commitment to quality and the resources to meet whatever production demands. That is exactly what was required for the project outlined here. We were contracted to provide pad printing for the cap-less gas fill system shown below.

The requirements featured a printed area of 3” in diameter, which seems like a pretty straight forward request; however, the volume and turnover required made it quite a challenge. It became clear early in the process that we would need higher speed equipment to meet the customer’s timeline. Part of our success as a manufacturer is our customer-centric culture. To meet the demands of this project, we determined that new, faster equipment would be the only way that we could provide the best price and quality possible.

The new system not only met the customer’s daily production requirement, but it also provided 100% inspection of the printed image. The extra level of quality control that this system afforded ensured that every part met our own internal quality standards, as well as placing the entire project in full compliance with required Automotive standards.

In the end, our dedication to our customers and quality mitigated the risk of this capital purchase. The customer was also very pleased that they were able to meet their daily volume requirements, as we continue to produce this project on an ongoing basis.
